In the final of four shows from our recent eating and drinking tour of Greece, we visit Zorba’s native island of Crete, a large enough and culturally rich enough destination to often view itself as separate from the mainland. We’ll talk to people about how that fact plays out in terms of food, wine and raki - the grappa-like spirit we sample right as it drips from a heated still. We also spend time in Athens with Yiannis Korovesis, one of Greece’s most respected young mixologists, learning the secrets of what he calls “Mediterranean bartending.”
